How could you solve the problem that the interim manager is not an employee but a liable top executive of the company?According to the Hungarian legal regulations the top executives (managing director, CEO, etc.) are not necessarily employed by the company, they can also perform this activity on the basis of the Civil Code. The chief officer has the right to assign the liable executive duties according to his/her decision, not only to someone employed by the company.
How does the interim manager exercise the employer’s rights?
As we can see above, the chief officer has the possibility to hold the manager position within the frame of a civil contract. This legal relationship is independent from the execution of the employer’s rights. The situation is different in the case of other top managers who are employed by the company.
How could I explain my current manager that I do not want to change him/her but to help in learning from the expert?
The manager who actually fills the position probably knows the limit of his/her knowledge. An expert can only becomes an interim manager if he/she accepts the ethical rules of interim management profession, which strictly forbid the direct or indirect misuse of business information. Since the ethical codex is supervised by MIME, the Hungarian Interim Management Association, with the abuse of this codex the interim manager practically excludes himself/herself from the professional’s market, he/she will not receive new assignment. Since we talk about professionals who have a wide range of experience and take care of their business reputation, nobody will take this risk.
How could an interim manager be inserted into the corporate culture?
Corporate cultures are differed from each other. However, our professionals have obtained their experiences with more companies, their adoptive period is by far shorter than young talents’, for whom it frequently takes 1-2 years at their first or second workplace to “learn” the company culture.
